This layered piece has a lifted sense of spaciousness, and casts shadows as a further echo of its movements. Bark fiber work is an intense practice of soaking, cooking, opening, casting, shaping, and pigmenting the strong inner bark material within the sustainably grown paper mulberry bush.
Note: This piece installs easily into four tiny holes in the wall, to form a sturdy structure, almost suspended visually.
