It’s not that I want to create art this or that way. The way I see it, is that I channel experiences that take place in other spheres of reality -think of Plato´s cavern- and decode them to fit this one. This is my value as an artist: to be able to look through the hinges and fringes of the constant folding and unfolding of experiences, the never ending vibration we call reality.
The two subjects my work revolves around are Change and Identity. "Movement is the arch between two deaths" (Doris Humphrey). By changing nothing, nothing changes (Tony Robbins). Another strong influence for me is Plato's concept of reality and art.
Diego studied Journalism in Madrid but soon moved into photography. He worked as an advertising photographer for almost a decade before switching to video, animation and 3D. He uses all these elements to create hyperrealistic images as a skin to hide fuzzy, almost spiritual concepts. He now lives between Boulder, USA, and Madrid, Spain.
